Croome Capability Canter

Voted into the top 10 off-road races by readers of Runners World, the Croome Capability Canter is a 6.5 mile (10kish) multi-terrain race around the scenic Croome Park; designed by renowned 18th century landscape architect Lancelot “Capability” Brown.

The 2024 Croome Capability Canter will be held on Sunday 24th November 2024 at 9am. Entries will open on Tuesday 1st October 2024 at 9pm (the evening). The route and format will largely be the same as previous years.

  • Online Entry

    Online entry only (no on the day entries or postal entries).

  • Prizes and Goodies

    Medals and goodie bags will be awarded to all finishers, with prizes given to winners.

  • Entry Prices

    £14 for runners affiliated to UK Athletics clubs and £16 for unaffiliated runners.

  • Limited Spaces

    Entries have been strictly limited to 350 to protect the parkland.

The race will open for entries on Tuesday 1st October at 9pm (in the evening). Set a reminder in your calendar to avoid disappointment as it does tend to fill very quickly.

The Route

The route is a 6.5 mile ‘undulating’ multi-terrain off-road course around the beautiful scenery of Croome Park. The race is very popular with runners and usually sells out very quickly.

Location, Directions and Parking

The address for the start of the race is: Croome Park, nr High Green, WR8 9DW (view map and directions).

There is limited parking, please car share where possible.

Please allow 10 minutes to walk from registration to the start.

Refreshments

The canteen will be open at 9:30am, possibly earlier.

The Croome Capability Canter is held under UKA rules (runbritain licence number 2023-45680). Results will be available on Power of 10 and Run Britain Rankings soon after the race.
